Introduction

In this blog I plan to share with you some of the reasons why I'm convinced that atheism is true, and why this isn't a bad thing (despite what some people may have told you).

My original plan for this blog was rather ambitious — it was originally going to be named "365 Reasons for Atheism", and I planned for it to slowly build to a coherent climax over the course of a year. Two years on, it's quite clear to me that I can't organize an outline to save my life, and my note-taking skills are atrocious. Instead of the originally planned format, I'll post in whatever order the ideas come to me. I'll try to post at least once per week.

I'll warn you up front: in discussing why atheism is true, I'll sometimes need to talk about why the alternatives are false, and when I confront something that angers me, I won't mince words. If you have a horse in that particular race, please don't take it personally. I plan to explain why I'm infuriated, hopefully in a way that will make sense to you (even if you don't agree with me).

I'll also warn you that I have an ulterior motive here: to hone my writing skills. I want my writing to be clear, focused, crisp, and witty (in that order). If I start to ramble or lapse into sesquipedalianism, please give me a firm smack on the nose and shout "bad dog!".
